Julee Andrews
FTCL, LTCL, ATCL, AmusA, MMTA
Accredited teacher through the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
Julee
Andrews began piano lessons at the age of five. When in her early
twenties she studied with a pupil of Alfred Brendel and in 1978
she obtained a Fellowship in performance through the Trinity
College of London.
Julee has been teaching piano in Armidale for thirty years and
is well known in the New England area. Students have traveled
from many areas in Northern N.S.W. to study with her and to be
prepared for advanced level diplomas and HSC performance examinations.
For 12 years Julee was Musical Director of
the well known touring theatre company, Colonel Ponsenberry's
Old Time Theatre Restaurant, taking their show state wide as
well as doing a permanent show in Armidale.
Her
studio offers traditional and modern facilities with tuition
based around two grand pianos. A digital piano and keyboard provide
for good group participation and interaction with a comprehensive
selection of music software. Education software is also available
as is substantial music resources. Video facilities are used
to allow students to study their performances. Multi track recording
facilities enable recording of compilation CD's for each student
to highlight the year's progress.
Accompaniment CD's can be tailor made to suit the student's
requirements.
Julee teaches a wide range of styles including Classical, Jazz,
Leisure, Duets and ensemble playing. She enjoys teaching students
of all ages and AMEB levels including diplomas.
